Allan’s history

Collection

Allan, a town in west central Saskatchewan about 65 kilometres south-east of Saskatoon, got its start in 1903 when nine families travelling together began arriving to homestead. They had turned down several earlier land claims they weren't happy with, and in early June of that year they finally settled in what is now the Allan district.
